National Institute of Trial Advocacy - 11 April 2008

The Law Society of Scotland has been asked by the Society of Solicitor-Advocates to co-ordinate the forthcoming NITA course in Edinburgh. The course, which will take place within the Law Society premises at Drumsheugh Gardens, will commence on Friday 11 April 2008 and finish at lunchtime on Sunday 13th April.

The course is widely recognised as one of the best in the world and will utilise NITA’s instructional materials, which are primarily fictitious case files, complete with the documents, and will be supported by a cast of appropriate court personnel. This is an intensive and very participatory course and the only one of its kind being run in Scotland this year.

The fee will include all course materials, dinner on the 11th at The Bonham Hotel, a formal dinner in the Law Society on the 12th and all course catering. The residential delegate fee will include 2 nights accommodation with breakfast at the Melvin House Hotel, which is situated a few minute’s walk from the Law Society and facilities there can be viewed at www.melvinhouse.com

The NITA tutors will be confirmed in due course
